Predict:

Our consultants have a proven track record in their ability to plan, task, and deploy the range of resources necessary to predict when, where, and how terrorists will strike via IED attack.  Terrorist tactics, techniques, procedures, capabilities, and ideology are fully understood by the SME’s.  Their experience and ability to successfully predict will allow planners to more effectively employ resources to disrupt or deter terrorist operations and will also result in a focused and efficient detection plan.

Prevent:

Kratos’ personnel are experienced in proactively targeting terrorist operations prior to IED emplacement to prevent IED attacks.  Through global awareness, tactical experience, and interagency support they have collective experience in interdicting terrorist areas of influence such as command and control, funding, recruiting, supplies, training, communications, engineering, and surveillance.   

Protect:

Our consultants have extensive expertise in all areas of venue and asset protection including counter terrorist TTP’s, electronic counter measures, device neutralization, surveillance techniques, materials science and blast resistance, mitigation and containment techniques.

 

Detect:

The SMEs have extensive experience at detecting terrorist IED efforts at a suitable range, in sufficient time, and with decisive accuracy to prevent attacks from occurring.  They are aware of the critical requirement to leverage integrated support assets from strategic, operational, and tactical resources including the resources of government agencies, partners, and allies and crucially, they have demonstrated an awareness that information must be fused and accessible to the operations and planning staff in a manner that allows for rapid, decisive action. 

Neutralize:

Kratos personnel are cognizant of the fact that when security forces fail to prevent IED emplacement, they must be able to neutralize the effect of the attack.  Our consultants have extensive experience in neutralization tactics including: the destruction, reduction and safe removal of terminal explosive charges; the disruption of detonation commands and signal transmissions; the removal of initiation or primary charges; and the removal of the terminal charge from the intended IED target.  Through their extensive experience, our consultants are also mindful that when an IED attack is neither prevented nor neutralized, robust mitigation capabilities are required to protect intended targets.  Mitigation experience includes disruption, channelling, blocking, and redirecting blast energy or fragmentation; reducing the exposure of intended targets to the IEDs time and distance ranges; decreasing the frequency of multiple casualties from each IED explosion; accelerating reaction and evaluation operations and processes; and increasing the effectiveness of reaction and evacuation operations.

Exploit:

During the incident investigation stage, either after an explosion or after action by an EOD team, there is a requirement to technically and forensically exploit the components parts of the IED and fuze the information with other reporting.  Our consultants have extensive experience in the collation and analysis of all-source IED intelligence as well as technical and forensic exploitation.  These skill-sets, when combined, have been used extensively to assist in the formulation of countermeasures designed to neutralize the terrorists technological advantage.
